FUJI Bicycles

The project is to name and to design the anniversary Fuji Bicycles logo for the limited edition bikes for this world-known brand to celebrate it’s 111th birthday. The challenge is to reshape the brand without compromising it’s legacy and tradition and to create a classy story to match a legend such as the limited edition bikes.

FUJI Bicycles

VOCUIS named the bikes “YAIBA” and “KISSAKI.” “YAIBA” and “KISSAKI” refer to the sharp edge and the tip of the blade. Each part of a Katana requires different training and making in different eras of time. The names were taken from when a Samurai swings with determination and strength, which is a perfect expression of the bikes. “YAIBA” and “KISSAKI” are retro and hand made, and drawn attention at Taipei Cycle Expo 2010.
